General Superintendent-Civil Construction
Mr. Owens has performed all aspects of civil construction with Mason Construction for over 20 years. One of his noteworthy projects was at Valero Refining in Port Arthur, Texas, where he was one of two Mason superintendents over the Heavy Crude Expansion Project. On this project, manpower peaked at approximately 180 craftsmen and 18 support staff. This project was considered to be "Fast Track” and required Mr. Owens to execute strategic planning and scheduling for the almost 25,000 cubic yards of concrete and over 60,000 yards of fill material.
In 2013, Mr. Owens was promoted to General Superintendent for Mason Construction. In his new capacity, Mr. Owens emphasizes the importance of clear and concise communication of hazards with all Mason employees so as to approach the work in a safe and consistent manner. He is vital to the planning and execution of pre-construction as well as the efficient running of each job for Mason Construction by providing support to the superintendents and working directly with the corporate office to ensure that all projects meet the standard of quality, safety, and integrity as specified in the Mason Construction, Ltd. company core values.
